"Simpson Lake". This picture captures the peace and tranquillity of the Yukon.

"Haunted Sky"Sometimes you find beauty in less obvious places. I was absorbed in the awesome beauty of Kinuseo Falls, then I looked up to see this enchanting shot.

"Peek-A-Boo Sun". This is a mile down the road from where I live. It was a cold, frosty morning and the sun was peeking through the trees.

"Moody Mountains". The sun is struggling to come out after a vicious storm in Jasper, Alberta. A herd of about 200 elk were feeding in the unexposed flat at the bottom of the picture.

"Kinuseo Up Close". The sight of these falls, over 200 feet high, in their secluded mountain setting is truly awesome. I think it has been one of the best kept secrets of the north.

"Fire In The Sky". We were heading out into the back country one morning and this is how the dawn greeted us. Great way to start the day!

This picture was taken at my wife's Grandpa's farm. He had an old farm house with stuff hanging on the walls going back to the early 1900's.We found coffe cans dating back to the early days, ice tongs and antiques farm machinery like you have never seen.

This same farm building was situated out in the middle of a field and looked great on a beautiful day with lots of blue sky and white puffy clouds. This building was located in an area 5 miles north of Dawson Creek, BC known as Kilkerran.

This sunset was taken out of my driveway during the middle of summer. We had just had some rain and the colours were incredible. This is the sort of thing you can expect almost every night in the north country. Blue sky with few clouds and lots of stars at night.

This was a shot of some grain bins. I played around with a few filters. Not one of my best shots but worth including.....

This was a neat picture I took at Williston Lake while on a fishing trip with some guys from the firehall. This picture was taken in total darkness except for the moonlight. I exposed the picture for about 2 minutes at about F16. In fact three drunk friends wandered back and forth through the picture but it was so dark they didn't even register. Pretty country with lots of wildlife.

Another sunset picture taken fron the inside of the firehall at the airport. I could not believe the incrediblt colour we get in sunsets in this country. Sunrises are even better but I usually find myself sound asleep at that point.

These wooden graineries were starting to fall over by the time I started taking pictures. The wood sides has a really neat red coloured weathered look. These side boards make really neat paneling in log homes as the colour matches the interior of many decorated log structures.

One last shot of graineries lined up in a row. I was being attacked by hornets at this point and decided to call it a day.
