Some Words of Caution:

When exploring the Internet for information, always keep in mind that each site represents an organization, or an individual, often with a specific purpose and bias. This will be reflected in the type of information, content and the subjects presented. Read each home page carefully. Well designed sites present such information as a mission statement, a mailing address, and an affiliation with a parent organization such as an academic institution or a government body. When you find a document, ask yourself the following: *What is the source? *With hypertext, you may have been linked to the server of another organization. *Is there a date, and when was the document last updated? *Are references provided for the information presented? Is this a position paper? The Internet is continually changing; check sites carefully and frequently."
